Our Farm: Acres of Blackberries in Hammonton, New Jersey

Located in the center of New Jersey's berry country. We grow acres of blackberries, pack them in the field, and deliver them cold to grocers, farm markets, restaurants, and distributors across the Northeast. The same fruit goes into every bottle of Laurelette's Delicious Blackberry Tea.

How We Grow

We never use herbicides. No glyphosate, no Roundup, no weed killers of any kind. We manage our rows with hand-weeding, mulch, and cover crops, and we make decisions with the soil in mind first, because healthy soil grows fruit that is large, firm, sweet, and deeply flavorful.

Fruit is packed in the field and cooled within minutes. Our produce operation is PrimusGFS certified, and everything we sell to the trade is backed by PACA License No. 20250727.

Who We Are

Curated Nature is run by Angelo Grinceri, and the work is hands-on from the soil up. Nearly everything on this land was planted, trellised, and built by the people who still work it today. The year starts in the fall, pruning out spent canes and tying new ones to the trellis across acres of blackberries. Spring is soil work: mulch, cover crops, and weeding by hand, because we do not spray herbicides. From mid-June through mid-August the farm runs on harvest. Crews pick and pack fruit directly in the field, crates go into a 34 °F cooler within minutes, and our own refrigerated truck delivers the same day. Fruit destined for juice is frozen at the farm and pressed for Laurelette's Delicious Blackberry Tea. When blackberry season ends, we switch our operation to focus on repacking and storing fruit for other growers and importers. Before the farm, Angelo spent two decades in New York City as a functional strength coach. He will tell you that a day of lifting flats and walking rows is the most functional training there is. Men's Fitness told the story in September 2026 and The Hammonton Gazette profiled the farm in August 2026.

Laurelette

The brand is named after Laurelette, our black British retriever. Laurelette’s are the berry as sweet as she is!

Her name is on our fresh blackberries and on Laurelette's Delicious Blackberry Tea, which we make with juice pressed from our own fruit.

More than berry rows

We've planted blackberries, grapes, figs, blueberries, cherries, apples, peaches, pears, apricots, mulberries, kiwi, and container citrus. . We sell all of these trees and plants to home gardeners and growers. We repack and cold-store imported fruit for shippers using the Philadelphia-area ports. Through Curated Nature Contractors we design and install orchards and vineyards for other landowners.
