Farm stand in Hammonton NJ. Open Saturdays, pickups by appointment

Local food, grown the way nature intended.

We grow blackberries here without herbicides. For what we don't grow, we find the New Jersey farms doing it right: animals on pasture, processed under inspection, the farm's own name on the label. A short list, chosen carefully.

Open to the public Saturdays, 9 am to 3 pm

Pickup By appointment only, any day. Free at 497 Old Forks Road

Delivery $25 on orders over $50

Raised on pasture

Cattle, hens and dairy cows that live outside on grass and get moved across the field, not kept in a barn on a ration.

Inspected and labeled

Meat from USDA-inspected plants, eggs graded for sale, milk bottled under a New Jersey dairy license. The farm's name is on every package.

New Jersey farms we visit

Beef from Monroeville, eggs from Bridgeton, milk from Pittstown. Every one a working New Jersey farm whose owners we know by name. We walk the farm before we buy.

From our own fields

Blackberries, grown here without herbicides

Four varieties on about 12 acres, picked mid-June through mid-August. Out of season, everything on the top of the price list came from that harvest: the frozen berries, the tea brewed from their juice, and the honey the bees made working the blossoms.

How we pick a farm

We visit before we buy

Before anything goes in the case, we drive to the farm, walk the pasture, and ask how the animals are raised, fed and processed. If we can't answer a customer's question about an item, we don't carry it.

Every package names the farm it came from

Why so few items

A short list is the point

A long shelf means buying from whoever has stock. A short one means every item met the same standard. We'd rather sell out of good ground beef than fill the case with something we can't vouch for.
